Dr. Michael Almaraz was born and raised in Irvine, California. He attended dental school at the University of Washington, Seattle and completed his residency in Periodontology at the University of Southern California in 1994. He is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Almaraz practiced in Northern Nevada for 25 years as the founding member of a busy, three doctor periodontal group. He served the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners on the Anesthesia Committee and as the Continuing Education Chairman for the Northern Nevada Dental Society for many years. He is highly experienced in implant surgery, having placed over 10,000 implants in his career. He also enjoys soft tissue grafting and complex ridge/sinus augmentation procedures. Dr. Almaraz is dedicated to providing high quality and compassionate care to his patients.

He is excited to return to his Orange County coastal roots and continue in his passion for Periodontics and Dental implant surgery. While he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and playing the drums.
