The OralID is a non-threatening and easy to use oral cancer screening device. Oral ID uses fluorescent technology to help Dr. Staadecker seek out abnormalities in the mouth. During treatment the doctor will shine the OralID's blue fluorescent light into the patient's mouth. When the oral tissue is healthy the OralID light will appear green; if the oral tissue is abnormal the light will appear dark. The Doctor has on special eyewear during the procedure that enhance the light of the device.
